Marcia Wilson has five years experience working as a freelance copy editor and proofreader for book publishers, authors, doctoral students, and nonprofit agencies. She has extensive experience in the fields of nonfiction as well as fictional work and in working with hard copy or electronic copy. Publication classes at the University of Chicago honed skills acquired through basic college classes and her prior work experience in the fields of education, medicine, and retail.

In Marcia Wilson’s 20 years of experience in desktop publishing, she has developed, designed, written, and edited newsletters for nonprofit agencies, from voluntary health agencies to churches to historical societies. Wilson also has experience in the development of brochures and booklets as well as educational materials for the layman.
As a project coordinator she has also worked with committees and authors on multi-authored projects, producing medical journals, educational booklets and a book of county history, which is still in production.
